Michigan Fall Color : I took neaerly 800 photographs on an October, 2009 trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for fall color with a few folks from my photography group, MPEG. It is amazingly intense color. Our guide, Scott Mitchell, took us on the back roads and unique spots in and around Munising. We were able to visit the Au Sable Light Station and gain access to the lighthouse itself through his contacts. And we drove on some interesting dirt trails that only a truck or SUV would clear. It was very cold at times but very beautiful. I hope you enjoy this fall color and please leave comments. None of the photographs have been processed; just as I took them. I hope to go back at some point.

Florida : I grew up in Florida - no snow, no ice, no winter weather driving. The seasonal changes are subtle yet visible if you pay attention. Summer has stiffling heat; winter can bring pleasant cool air but an occasional jolt of frigid weather. Now that I've lived in the snowy north for a while, Christmas without snow seems not so much like Christmas. Still, I think I could get used to driving with the windows down in January again.
